I, Special Agent and Special Agent stationed several miles to the west at Based on this notification, I, accompanied by ran from the eastern side of our observation post to the western side in an attempt to collect further data related to the detection from Observation Post 6. We initiated a visual survey of the western horizon and almost immediately observed a substantial, nonreflective, dark black triangular object most resembling a delta wing drone. We estimated the object's wingspan at approximately nine to fifteen feet, its depth at six to nine feet, and its thickness at one to two feet. I viewed the object through a handheld thermal device and noted it appeared hotter than ambient temperature with a completely consistent thermal signature across the entire airframe and no visible exhaust gases, while tracked the object unaided for the duration of the sighting. "We both observed the object ascend vertically over a ridge line situated approzimately 3.2 miles west of our location on a heading of about 268 degrees. The object climbed to approzimately 200 feet above the ridge line, Investigation on /2026 at United States File = Date drafted This document contains neither recommendations nor conclusions of the FBI. This record is an FBI FD-302 (Rev. 5-8-10) covering a written statement from two FBI Special Agents who were stationed at an observation post at a national security site in the western United States. The incident took place in June 2026, at about 1923 hours. One agent, at a separate post several miles west, called out a thermally elevated aerial object at a bearing of 251 degrees. The two agents then ran to the western side of their post and saw a nonreflective, dark black triangular object resembling a delta wing drone. They estimated a 9-15 foot wingspan, 6-9 foot depth, and 1-2 foot thickness. Through a handheld thermal device it showed a uniform thermal signature and no visible exhaust. It rose vertically over a ridge about 3.2 miles west, climbed roughly 200 feet, then moved horizontally at high speed toward them before dropping southeast and out of sight at about 1.5 miles. The sighting lasted about three seconds, and no sound was heard.

The names, exact date, site, and file details are redacted, so the location and the identity of the witnesses cannot be established from the text. The form states that it contains no FBI conclusions. The agents' own wording ("unmanned aerial system") suggests they treated the object as a drone, though the record does not say how it was assessed. Pages 3-11 of the PDF are blank in the OCR text, so any attachments or images are not captured here. The record adds to reports of unidentified objects near sensitive installations.
